A Yoga & Surf Retreat

Join Frances Vicente and Francesca Knowles for 7 days at Coco Loco’s enchanting eco-resort in Nicaragua, where your days will be filled with yoga, surf, delicious local meals, laughter, and so much more! We’ve created the perfect escape where you can dedicate the entire week to relax, re-energize, and reconnect with yourself.

Each day begins an invigorating vinyasa practice and ends with a grounding sunset practice, blending chanting, mantra, meditation, and āsana, to harmonize mind, body and spirit. You’ll also have the chance to playfully explore turning upside down during a 2-hour inversion workshop mid-week, expanding your sense of possibility — both on and off the mat. Between practices, you’ll have the chance to greet the ocean on your terms whether it’s catching waves at dawn, learning to surf with a guide, or flowing freely at your own pace.

Nourish yourself with four delicious vegan/vegetarian meals a day, made with local ingredients to nurture your body and spirit. There will also be plenty of time for rest, relaxation, and contemplation, giving you space to soak in the sun, enjoy the ocean breeze, and reconnect with the Earth and yourself.

Meet your teachers

Francesca Knowles

Francesca's journey with yoga began when she sought an alternative way to find a balanced life. It began as a physical practice, which with the guidance of her teachers, slowly developed into a spiritual one. Through her own practice and training, she has come to believe that finding peace can start on the mat and slowly drift into regular everyday life. She aims to share and cultivate this idea with her students by focusing on connecting the body, mind and spirit.

Frances Vicente

Throughout her life, Frances explored various dance styles, with a focus on hip hop and competitive Sport Aerobics. Her passion for movement eventually led her to yoga, which she found complemented her dance background, balancing the performative aspects of dance and introspection of yoga. Through her teaching, she strives to share many facets and benefits of yoga, honour the wisdom imparted by her teachers, and inspire and uplift others.
